Tree Tour
The University of Notre Dame is proud to be recognized by Tree Campus USA and is committed to preserving the natural beauty of campus flora. In 1966, the University's very first tree survey was conducted. Since then, multiple surveys have been completed to catalog Notre Dame's diverse tree canopy; many of which have been led by Barbara Hellenthal. While this page details the trees growing on campus in God Quad, you'll find many of these species throughout other parts of the campus' 1250 acres.
