Earth Hour 2020: Switch Off for an Hour

Earth Hour

The 2020 Earth Hour movement will be observed around the globe from 8:30 - 9:30 pm on Saturday, March 28th.  This event, held annually since 2007, encourages individuals, communities, and businesses to switch off their lights, symbolizing their commitment to the planet.  Everyone can participate from wherever they may be by switching off your lights - just make sure it's safe first!  What could you do to show your commitment to the Earth? Host a candlelight dinner party, practice some meditation yoga by candlelight, or even take a moonlit stroll - and given clear skies, you just might find the constellation Taurus the Bull.  Simply enjoying the peace and quiet that can be found when we power down ourselves and our lights is something each one of us can do not just on this day, but every day. Reducing your carbon footprint by switching off your lights can be the beginning of your journey.
