ND Energy announces its fifth annual research symposium focused on research and scholarship in support of the 2021-22 Notre Dame Forum on Care for our Common Home: Just Transition to a Sustainable Future. The symposium will be held on Thursday, March 31, from 8:45 a.m. to 5 p.m. in 205/206/207 McKenna Hall.

Faculty affiliates and associated researchers will discuss current research projects and engage participants in conversations to stimulate action towards transitioning to a cleaner, more sustainable energy future for generations to come. The agenda will include presentations focused on the following topics and an afternoon poster session with postdoctoral scholars and graduate students sharing their research projects during a networking reception.

  • Complex Transfer Reactions
  • Integrated Energy Systems
  • Water Treatment Processes
  • Advanced Materials
  • Commercialization and Technology Transfer
  • Enhanced Transfer Learning
  • Workforce Development in Materials Engineering for Sustainability

All members of the Notre Dame community are invited to attend as much of the symposium as their schedules will allow. Registration is strongly encouraged and required by March 21 to secure a seat at the luncheon. All attendees will be requested to wear masks when not eating or drinking to maintain a comfortable and safe environment for all.
