Anant Sudarshan

Anant Sudarshan is the South Asia Director of the Energy Policy Institute at the University of Chicago (EPIC). Before coming to UChicago he was a Post-doctoral Fellow in the Sustainability Science Program at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government, as well as a Research Scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Energy Initiative. He received his Ph.D. in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University and holds undergraduate and masters degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Delhi) and Stanford University respectively. His research spans several aspects of energy and environment policy including the design of environmental regulation, pollution markets, climate change, the food-energy-water nexus, electricity access, and renewable energy policy.

Updated Masking Requirement, Effective January 1, 2022

Until 90 percent of the campus community has achieved the full protection of an approved booster, all students, faculty and staff, regardless of vaccination status, will be expected to wear masks indoors on campus, except when alone in private offices, or for students, in residence halls.

Visitors to campus must wear masks at all times indoors on campus until further notice.
