Maira Hayat, Assistant Professor of Environment and Peace Studies, University of Notre Dame
Maira Hayat is a sociocultural anthropologist. Her research develops a conversation between the anthropology of environment, bureaucracy and law, and is animated by postcolonial critique. She recently completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University’s Department of Anthropology and the Woods Institute for the Environment. This Fall, she is starting as an Assistant Professor of Environment and Peace Studies at the University of Notre Dame.
