The Citizens’ Climate Lobby Great Lakes Regional Conference offers an empowering, inspiring program that gathers climate advocates from around the region. Together, attendees explore current and relevant topics impacting their region: climate change, relationships with their legislators, and how all citizens can move Congress toward meaningful climate legislation.
Dates: Saturday September 21 (all day) and Sunday September 22 (morning)
Location: Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, Indiana
Registration is $20 for students if you register by Sept. 12th. Friday evening reception and Saturday lunch and dinner included.
Attendees will draw inspiration, strengthen skills, build resolve, develop strategies and deepen connections as we work toward passing the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act. Highlights include:
Keynote by Dr. Carolyn Woo, “The Role of Large Investors in Our Energy Transition.” Dr. Woo is a Distinguished President’s Fellow for Global Development, Purdue University and the former President and CEO of Catholic Relief Services (CRS). She helped spearhead the recent meeting at the Vatican, “The Energy Transition and Care for Our Common Home.”
Madeleine Para, VP of Programs will address CCL’s national strategy and train us in leadership skills to move us forward.
Plenary sessions on strengthening our work by diversifying the organization.
A youth panel and campus organizing for students.
Skill-building workshops with highly experienced CCL leaders.
