Looking for something fun to do this summer? Join the Elkhart Environmental Center for their 24th annual EnviroFest on Saturday, August 3rd from 12:00 – 6:00 PM at Elkhart Central Park & Civic Plaza in downtown Elkhart.
EnviroFest is brought to you by the Elkhart Environmental Center (EEC). In addition to the many attractions of the event, the 2019 EnviroFest will be Elkhart’s first Zero-Waste event! This year, the EEC aims to reduce waste produced by the event by at least 90%—meaning all materials produced by the event will be diverted from the landfill by either being recycled or composted. You can also learn how to reduce your impact at home by visiting the Zero-Waste booth at the event!
EnviroFest will also feature live music, food, drinks, kid’s activities, educational speakers, and vendors focused on sustainability! Enjoy music under the main tent and between band sets learn about local environmental and sustainability topics. Don’t forget to visit a variety of food vendors and, for those over 21, stop by the local beer and wine garden sponsored by the South Bend Brew Werks for locally crafted beer!
There will be family-friendly entertainment in the Kid’s Area with booths, activities, and a live entertainment programs by Indiana Wild brought to you by Lippert Components! Visit the exhibits to see businesses, vendors, organizations, and artists showcasing innovative ideas, sustainability initiatives, products, services, art, and more. Don’t miss one of the highlights of EnviroFest – the silent auction and raffle – with a variety of fun and practical items donated by local businesses.
The EEC is once again partnering with Bike Elkhart to offer a Bike Valet! Leave your bike safely parked in a secured area. Those biking to the event will receive a free raffle ticket for a chance to win free new bike gear!
