On Thursday, April 14th, all Notre Dame undergraduate and graduate students can participate in the Smarter Planet Comes to You University Tour presented by IBM. “I just registered online and can’t wait to receive the first clues,” remarked senior Julie Zorb. Other activities include the IBM Skills Zones and Future Leaders session where students will have the opportunity to interact with researchers and network with industry executives.

“The tour is a fun way to raise student awareness around the Smarter Planet initiative and make it real to our next generation of business and technology leaders,” noted Jim Corgel, general manager, IBM’s ISV and Developer Relations. IBM has built scavenger hunts on campuses nationwide to enable students to physically and mentally challenge themselves while learning the skills it takes to build a smarter planet.

Thursdays’ events will take place in the Joyce Center Monogram Room. The scavenger hunt will kickoff at 3:30pm and run for 90 minutes. Registered teams of two can sign in beginning at 3:15pm. Students should register online to participate. Click for additional information to learn about all of the available activities.
