Do you have unwanted personal or confidential papers piling up at home you need to dispose of? On Wednesday, April 26th from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm, the University’s shred provider, Shred-it, in conjunction with University Archives at the Hesburgh Library, is offering free and secure confidential document destruction for all University faculty, staff, and students. This event will be held rain or shine.

A Shred-it truck will be parked on the east side of lot C1 located just north of the Holy Cross and Leahy Drive intersection (between the Joyce Center and Compton Family Ice Arena). Please limit your shredding to no more than five standard storage boxes of paper only (non-paper materials will be not be accepted). Make sure to stay until your documents are on the shred truck, and please remove your paper materials from binders (staples and paper clips are acceptable).

University Archives is once again partnering with campus recycling so you can leave your empty boxes as well. The 2016 Free Shred Event drew 124 vehicles and produced 4,260 pounds of shredded material.
