Report Thermostat Problems

There are several types of thermostats on campus. This document will allow you to figure out what system is in your building, and this guide will provide descriptions of each of the different types of systems.

Thermostats with an adjustable dial should respond to manual changes in the temperature setting. If your thermostat does not respond or cannot maintain the desired temperature, please 631-8888 and request a visit from campus maintenance. When adjusting your thermostat, please adhere to the Temperature Set-Point Policy (a maximum of 70 degrees in the heating season; within a 70-75 degree range in the cooling season and preferably closer to 75 degrees).

Digital thermostats in new or renovated buildings are not manually adjustable. They automatically maintain the temperature within a range of 70 to 75 degrees whenever people are present.
