Notre Dame vs. Bowling Green Game Day Recycling

Game Day Recycling

Be a part of Notre Dame’s efforts to #GoIrish #BeGreen!

In an effort to promote recycling and to keep the most congested parking lots clean, during each home game, teams of Waste Ambassador volunteer students circulate through the Stadium, Joyce, Library, Bulla, Burke, and Bookstore tailgate lots, distributing clear recycle bags and black trash bags to tailgate fans and answering questions about single stream recycling.  We ask that fans do not overload the exterior trash and recycling barrels.  Guests may leave their opened or loosely-tied clear recycle and tied-up black trash bags at their vehicles for pick-up before kickoff.

Here are ways you can help be a part of Notre Dame's efforts to go green.

We’ve made recycling outside of the stadium convenient and easy for our tailgate fans.

Items you can recycle outside of the stadium (after emptying food and liquids into the black trash bag)

  • Clean, empty plastic bottles
  • Clean, empty aluminum cans
  • Clean, empty glass bottles
  • Please make sure to place your Styrofoam and plastics #3 - #6 in the black trash bag

We've also made recycling inside the stadium easy and convenient.  Throughout the upper and lower level concourse areas you will find clearly marked green Recycle containers where you can place your clean, empty plastic water bottles.
