There are many ways to use engineering skills to make the world a better place. In this talk, Tricia Drummey Stiegel, PE is a 2003 Notre Dame BSCE graduate and will discuss her journey to a developing country with the intent of helping improve the lives of people living without access to electricity, clean drinking water, or adequate sanitation. The challenges she faced and the lessons learned helped inform her future career. She now works for Hazen and Sawyer, a consulting engineering firm, and spends her days working with the teams of people to complete projects that protect the environment and public health.
