Scaling Carbon Cycling from Organisms to Ecosystems

-

Location: 283 Galvin Life Sciences Center

Scott Saleska, Associate Professor of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Arizona, will give a seminar entitled “The importance of ecology in scaling carbon cycling from organisms to ecosystems” on Tuesday, April 4 at 4:00 pm in 283 Galvin as part of the Eminent Scholars in Ecology, Evolution, and Environmental Change Series.

Dr. Saleska's research asks questions about how climate interacts with plant physiology, demography, and ecological processes to influence or control biogeochemical cycling from local to global scales. He has a Bachelor's in Physics from MIT and a PhD in Energy and Resources from UC Berkeley.

Sponsored by the Department of Biological Sciences, Environmental Change Initiative, and UNDERC
