Green Summit
The first annual Green Summit was held in January 2008. More than 150 students, faculty, and staff met to discuss sustainability strategies in key areas from green building to recycling. This exciting event produced many ideas about how Notre Dame can become a greener, more sustainable, campus community. Progress on the recommendations from the first Green Summit are summarized here.
The second annual Green Summit took place on February 9th 2009. The theme of this year’s Summit was the distinctive contribution that each academic and administrative program at the university can make to sustainability. 200 faculty, staff, and students participated.
