Sustainability on MobileND

The Office of Sustainability recently developed a sustainability module for the official Notre Dame Mobile App, MobileND. The module allows users to take a tour of selected sustainability features on campus, find resources such as LEV parking and recycling information, follow the office on social media feeds as well as see what sustainability events are scheduled across campus.

The addition of the sustainability module joins modules developed by Admissions, Athletics, the Bookstore, FaithND and Food Services. The app was fully designed and built by the department with the assistance of Matt Willmore, the MobileND program manager with the Office of Information Technology.

The module can be customized depending on what programs or events need showcasing. This feature was recently utilized for the final home football game of the season by the addition of a game day recycling icon on the homepage that led to a page dedicated to what could and could not be recycled in the tailgating lots.

The module will be utilized extensively in the future for events like the dorm energy competition and the sustainability symposium. To download the app, click here or search for ‘Notre Dame Mobile’ in the Apple or Google Play stores.
