Megawatt Madness 2015 has come to a close. Thank you to everyone who participated and saved energy in their dorm!
Congratulations go out to the ladies in Farley for being the biggest reducers on campus; they reduced their electricity usage by 9.6% over the course of the competition! They will receive the coveted traveling trophy in addition to a Chipotle dinner. Carroll, Stanford, Badin, and Cavanaugh all reduced their energy by at least 5% and were entered in the drawing for a fro-yo party at their dorm. Carroll was the lucky winner of that prize having decreased by their electricity usage by 9.2%.
Farley and Keenan will celebrate their win in the brother/sister dorm competition with a candlelit Mass in the Grotto. The North Quad dorms earned a skating night at Compton for winning the quad competition in Week 2.
There were some great entries in the social media competitions, we loved the creative sustainability selfies, energy conservation vines, and memes about saving energy. Thanks again to everyone who helped make Megawatt Madness a success this year. Stay tuned next year for Megawatt Madness 2016!
