Prof. Juchen Guo, Assistant Professor of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, University of California, Riverside, will discuss his research in rational design, synthesis, and characterization of novel materials for energy and environmental technologies including rechargeable batteries, polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells, photovoltaic devices, and water treatment.

Juchen Guo received his B.S. in chemical engineering in 1999 from Zhejiang University, and his Ph.D. in chemical engineering in 2007 from University of Maryland. Prior to joining BCOE, he worked as an Assistant Research Scientist at University of Maryland and a Postdoctoral Associate at Cornell University.
