Few people are aware of the greenery growing on top of the Morris Inn. Green roofs are being studied as a way to absorb heat in urban environments. Research Assistant Professor Ashish Sharma from the Departments of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Earth Sciences at Notre Dame will report on his work in Chicago preceding the tours. The two, hour-long offerings will begin in Salon A of the Morris Inn Ballroom on Friday, October 7, at 11:30 am and 12:30 pm. Light snacks will be offered.
