Main Building Energy Challenge

The Main Building is engaged in a year-long energy conservation contest with the College of Science.

The effort to reduce energy use in the Dome is being coordinated by a committee of Challenge Leaders representing the various departments in the building.

The Main Building widened the gap in September to have 11.0% total energy savings for the competition compared to the College’s 4.9%. For the month, the Main Buildings had a 17.9% improvement over August and the College had a 4.25% improvement. See the menu items on the right for information on top energy saving strategies.
